Busy Busy
Wow! I can't believe it is almost July. June has just gone by so fast for me. We are busy, busy. We finished the bathroom (thank goodness). We still need to paint. It looks good. Dad did a nice job. Mike's 40th birthday was great for me. I got to reminice while creating his video of his first 40 years. Lots of tears were shed as I went through family pictures. Happy tears but still it is hard for mom's to look back and remember when their children were young and how things happened and what they could have done better.
Then off to the lake for Jessi's birthday party. The boat is running great and is such a nice addition to our family fun. Dad got to celebrate Father's Day in his new motorhome and got to play with things that is a nice addition too.
I have been cleaning the carpet downstairs. It was really dirty. Thank heavens for my steam cleaner it does a pretty good job. After that we need to patch some walls and do some painting and then decide what to do with all the new space :)
Oh happy day. Hope everyones summer is going well.

Family time is so fun !!
We just loved being with the family this weekend. Jessi's graduation on Friday was awesome!! Dad and I can't believe that she has grown up so fast. It is hard to wrap your brain around how fast time flies
Saturday night we went to Sofi's dance recital. She is so cute. It reminds me of all the girls when they first started out in dancing. Sofi says she loves dance, it is her favorite thing (at least today).

Dad and I just got another call from the Stake President trying to work out how we can be camp hosts at Aspen Lake this summer. They have decided to go ahead and divide it between several famlies and asked if we would take one or two weeks. We took two. How could we turn them down again when we have been so blessed. I figure Heavenly Father owns at least 10% of the motorhome. So I guess we will be up there one week in July and one week in August. That will actually be kind of nice because it will be cooler weather up there than here at home. Well that's all for now. Mom and Dad .

Home at last
Well we made it home on Sunday night. Of course the MH made quite an impression on the neighborhood. Everyone wondered if we struck oil somewhere, I wish!! Anyway our worries are over for getting it into the driveway. Dad is becoming an expert driver. He used to drive truck when he was a young dude so I guess some of his training is coming back.

We have continued with our other projects. The bathroom is almost ready to grout. The last of the tile is going in this week. Then a couple of days off to spend with family and then grouting. I have been planting flowers and the yard is looking very nice. Hope everyones spring is going well. See you all soon at Jessi's graduation.

Home tomorrow But where to park it!!
Well as Dad says this has been a great "Shake Down" trip. We have had all kinds of weather. We found some paperwork that said the people who owned this before lived in Freeport LA. So I am guessing this bus has never seen snow until now. We had wind, snow, heat, clouds, and sunshine. I think we had it all and the Coach faired well through it all. We have tried out just about everything that is in this vehicle and all works great. We love it. We are in Green River Utah tonight, spent the day in Moab shopping, and slept through a snow storm in Montacello last night. It's been fun but I am anxious to get home and see everyone including my little puppy. Lance has been doing a good job of caring for her. He is using Sasha as a chick magnet he says it works well.
We went to Four Corners yesterday. I bought some Turquoise jewelry which I love of course because it is my birthstone. Stopped by the Ute Mountain Casino where I won 20.00. That was fun. We accidently drove by the Montecello Temple while looking for an RV park, I forgot there was a temple there. Attached are a few more pictures. Love you all, see you soon. Only worry now is where to park it!!

Half way home
Well since I last logged on we have left Texas and spent the last couple of days going across New Mexico. The motorhome or coach as the experts call it is running great. We are learning new things everyday. Dad's has almot mastered driving this medium rig. We have had all kinds of weather, including rain, snow, and 60-70 mph winds. That was bad yesterday but the motorhome handled things well. Our milage wasn't all that great but we had to fight a headwind all the way to Albuquerque. That's where we stayed last night. We are now headed North and staying in Bloomfield NM tonight. It is still cold. I think about 55 degrees. So much for fun in the sun. I got to try the washer/dryer yesterday the work great. So does the stove and over. We have gone to WalMart almost everyday to get things we need. But we will soon have the home on wheels stocked up.

Dad looks like an expert behind the wheel.
I have to say we are pretty lucky in our area, Texas the NM need industry for thier people. The towns and living conditions at least on this end of the states look pretty desperate.

Pictures include, small gas station in NM, abondoned church in NM, small cities with many businesses closed. We saw many abandoned homes. But there are some pretty places here too. It has been a good safe trip. Love you all. See you soon.

Arriving in Texas
Well we arrived safe and sound. I think we had a new pilot. He missed the runway in Dallas the first time and we had to circle around and take another aim at it. That was interesting!! Reggie Green picked us up at the airport and away we went to see our new home on the road.
Dad is getting his orientation on how to work all the bells and whistles.
It is so pretty the colors are pyschodelic. It depends on where your stand and how the light shines on it what color they show. It is quite the machine.
The first day was an adventure. While we were at the store the generator stopped working. The mechanic had to change the air filter. Thank heavens it happened while we were there. Then we got to Wal-Mart and could not figure out how to close the door. Dad took the front door apart and only after that we found out you had to pull the handle up to ge the door to release.
So we got on the road and Dad wanted to get passed all the big cities before we stopped for the night. The only trouble with that was that there aren't any RV camps out here in the wilderness. So we decided to stop with the truckers. Rick will appreciate that.
Tonight we are in Amarillo Texas about 60 miles from NM..... The camp ground here is not as pretty as some but has some character. There is a performance tonight in the lodge by "Almost Willey Nelson". We did not go because we are watching the final for American Idol but it sounded pretty good. The towns here are fairly small and I think somewhat hurting for industry. They have a lot of small ranches but we did not see many cattle. I did see quite a few oil pumpers though. Who would have guessed that :)Amarillo is very nice though and fairly large. Well so far everything is working if you know what you are doing :) Dad has made a few mistakes of course I have not tried to work anything yet so my mistakes are at zero. Ha!!
Take Care Love Mom
